The IC Centre for Governance (ICCfG) was formally invited by Shri Poonam Suri, President of DAV Management, to initiate a strategic dialogue on designing and implementing a comprehensive training program for the DAV network of schools and institutions. Representing ICCfG at this significant engagement were Shri Shanti Narain, Secretary General of the Centre, along with Core Group Members Shri Narendra Swarup, Brig. Rajendra Kumar, Shri Rajiv Sachdeva, and Shri Sunil Kumar.
This collaborative initiative is envisioned to strengthen the professional capabilities of teachers, principals, and administrative office bearers across all DAV institutions. The proposed training program aims to equip educators with practical tools, strategic insights, and evidence-based best practices to enhance teaching excellence, leadership abilities, mentoring skills, and overall institutional effectiveness.
During the initial discussions, both DAV Management and ICCfG explored the program’s structure, objectives, and projected outcomes in detail. Emphasis was placed on fostering a holistic, learner-centered approach that encourages creativity, innovation, and student engagement while supporting teachers and administrators in their professional growth. The dialogue also included considerations for leadership development, educational governance, and capacity building, ensuring the program aligns with both contemporary educational standards and the unique ethos of the DAV network.
The engagement underscored the shared commitment of ICCfG and DAV Management to cultivate a supportive and collaborative educational ecosystem. By integrating insights from governance, leadership, and pedagogy, the initiative seeks to empower educators to become transformative leaders capable of shaping future-ready learners.
This collaboration marks a pivotal step toward building a strong foundation for continuous professional development across the DAV network, reflecting a shared vision of innovation, excellence, and long-term sustainability in education. Both institutions are committed to continuing these discussions and jointly implementing a program that not only strengthens teaching practices but also fosters ethical, visionary, and learner-focused leadership in schools across India.
